How do I want to be seen? How do others see me? I present myself in a certain way in order to be taken seriously, but it seems I will always be reduced to the parts that define me strictly by gender. Is this all I am?

I like the images as a diptych. There is reluctance in both images: the arms crossed suggests this in the first, and even though they are uncrossed in the second, the expression seems kinda unsure. Sort of like "perhaps this shirt is too tight and the neck is too low." I'm glad to see that you're using the amazing quality of light that your earlier work held. I think that Dawoud had a great point about that during your review. The images can have the content that you desire and also be visually appealing. I know that you are interested in the dichotomy between embracing certain aspects of being a woman, but also want to deconstruct them at the same time. The light in this image embraces the female form, yet the diptych and the expressions create a certain tension. Nice work Lily!
